Comhlámh is seeking to engage a consultant for an eight-month period to support the coordination, delivery and promotion of a programme of events, workshops and public engagement activities taking place between September 2026 and April 2027. The international legal community is facing increasing scrutiny over its response to Gaza. As the humanitarian crisis deepens, there are growing calls for lawyers, bar associations, and legal institutions to speak more clearly about the application of international law, accountability, and the protection of civilians. Against that backdrop, Irish Rule of Law International interviewed Claudio Visco, President of the International Bar Association, for the latest episode of its podcast, The Justice Edit. (1) Irish Development Education Association (IDEA): IDEA calls for Budget 2027 to strengthen Global Citizenship Education
As Ireland prepares Budget 2027, IDEA is calling on Government to invest in Global Citizenship Education (GCE) to strengthen Ireland’s long-standing leadership in global solidarity. In the face of increasing global uncertainty, climate challenges, conflict, and disinformation, IDEA argues that sustained investment in GCE will equip people with the knowledge and skills to engage critically with global issues and build a more just, inclusive, and resilient society. IDEA’s pre-budget recommendations also call for stronger cross-government coordination and long-term funding to protect and expand Ireland’s impact in this vital area. Read more here.

You are invited to take part in a short survey mapping people interested in or practicing evaluation in Ireland. The purpose of the survey is to understand demographics, areas of interest, and networking opportunities. It takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. This survey is administered on behalf of the Irish Evaluation Network working group, an informal group of evaluators who are exploring the basis for re-establishing an Irish Evaluation Network.
