Be Water is a podcast that explores the issue of access to water in Malawi, particularly in rural health facilities. Through its various episodes, listeners will learn about topics such as water solar disinfection (SODIS), rainwater harvesting and access to water for maternity purposes.
We’ve discovered that there are many misconceptions making local people, particularly in rural communities, reluctant to use rainwater. This, in turn, makes it difficult to establish a culture of rainwater harvesting and scale up our water treatment reactor. In this episode, we discuss the misconceptions that cause communities in Malawi to be reluctant to use rainwater. What is the solution to changing this? We have an interesting idea. Listen here.
