EU Presidency Citizen Engagement Grant

Opportunities for Irish Civil Society Organisations

Dóchas is inviting Irish Civil Society Organisations to apply for a small-scale grant of between €7,500 and €15,000 to fund specific awareness-raising and engagement activities in support of the EU’s role in global action, sustainable development and civil society.

In particular, Dóchas is focused on how this sub-grant can elevate engagement with Irish citizens, and how it may be used as a catalyst for a wider and novel engagement. We are especially focused on how actors within this space can collaborate, cross traditional disciplines and come together to form something novel and innovative. A strong emphasis will be put onto innovation and trials of new ways of working. This might include educational projects, awareness-raising campaigns, including social media campaigns, media reporting, storytelling, and content production.

Individual organisations can apply for a grant of up to €7,500. A consortia of 2 or more organisations can apply for a grant of up to €15,000.

The closing date for applications is 7th June, 2026 at 23:59.

Grants will be issued by 1 July 2026, and all activities must take place within 6 months – by 31 December 2026.

All CSOs are encouraged to apply, and proper support will be provided to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants.
