Global Disability Summit Amman-Berlin Declaration 2025

The declaration, which calls for full and effective engagement of persons with disabilities in all stages of development cooperation, and humanitarian action, sets out nine commitments, with a three-year period for reporting on progress.

The Status of Disability Mainstreaming and Disability Inclusion in Development and Humanitarian Practice

University College Dublin and Dóchas Research Report

This 2020 report presents an analysis of practices and experiences of a sample of disability focused and mainstream INGOs based in Ireland, with regards to responding to the needs of persons with disabilities. It addresses the question of how INGOs, particularly mainstream INGOs, perceive their own role in mainstreaming disability in development and humanitarian practice. The report explores the achievements, and challenges reported by key informants and investigates how INGOs are influenced in their work on disability by national and international development objectives.

International Disability Alliance

An alliance of 14 global and regional organisations of persons with disabilities, advocating at the United Nations for a more inclusive global environment for everyone. promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities across global efforts to advance human rights and sustainable development.

GLAD Network

The Global Action on Disability (GLAD) Network is a coordination body of bilateral and multilateral donors and agencies, public and private foundations as well as key coalitions of the disability movement with a common interest in achieving inclusive international development and humanitarian action.

OECD DAC

In 2018, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Development Assistance Committee (OECD-DAC) introduced the “disability policy marker” – a tool to monitor how far Official Development Assistance (ODA) aims to be inclusive of persons with disabilities.The marker allows the DAC members to track their own projects in international cooperation and humanitarian action and see on a scale from 0 to 2 how much they target persons with disabilities.
