Our speakers covered the following topics:
- "Importance of good governance and Safeguarding considerations for Trustees": Margaret Rooney, Trócaire, provided an overview of the role of the Board with regards to safeguarding; as well as systems for oversight and response to organisational safeguarding requirements. View presentation.
- "Safeguarding in Supply Chain": Mandy Yamanis, GOAL, discussed why safeguarding matters in supply chain and how we can integrate safeguarding in our procedure manuals. We will talk about GOAL's supplier code of conduct and share the learning from launching this new process. View presentation.
- “Let the right ones in…”: Sara Barnes, Concern, highlighted the safe hiring practices that are an integral part of safeguarding and the session will discuss some practical measures for Trustees to consider. View presentation.
