Upcoming Events & Conferences

(1) Médecins Sans Frontières: Gaza and Sudan - Healthcare on the Frontline - 5 September

Join Médecins Sans Frontières Ireland for a first-hand update on the medical humanitarian impact of the devastating wars in Gaza and Sudan at the Triskel Arts Centre in Cork on September 5. The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Most of Gaza’s hospitals are out of service, after being repeatedly attacked, besieged and raided. Meanwhile, people in Sudan have faced horrific levels of violence since the war started there in March 2023. MSF is active in eight states in Sudan, providing lifesaving assistance to people affected by the violence, displacement, and disruptions in the health system. Speakers on the day include Dr Chris Hook and Emergency Coordinator Jacob Burns, returned from Gaza, and Dr Jennifer Hulse, returned from Sudan. Discussion facilitated by Graham Clifford. Community Fundraising & Events Executive (CFEE)

We are seeking a dynamic individual with exceptional motivation and networking skills to drive this critical and expanding area of Irish Red Cross fundraising. This is an exciting role for a self-starting individual who wants to make a difference working with one of Ireland’s most respected charity organisations.The Community Fundraising & Events Executive is responsible for delivering funds from members of the public and community groups who wish to participate in activities or events for the purpose of raising funds for the Irish Red Cross. The CFEE will act as the liaison between the IRC National Office and its branch network, for the purpose of supporting and building awareness of local branch activities and their fundraising efforts. Mental Health Manager

The Mental Health Manager plays a crucial role by managing and coordinating of mental health and wellbeing programme services in line with IRC policies and guidelines of best practice and ensuring the highest level of care for individuals in need. Along with other thematic managers, this role will support the mental health activities in two European Union funded programmes, AMIF & EU4Health. Data Analyst - Migration

The Data Analyst - Migration will support the management of data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which seeks to match people providing pledged accommodation with refugees. The role will ensure the reliability, availability and accessibility of data across systems and tools, enabling collaboration between agencies and informing strategic and operational decision making processes. As the Data Analyst for the Migration Department you will collect, organise and analyse information in order to deliver insights and promote data driven decision making processes. Find out more here. Systems Analyst - Migration

The Systems Analyst will support the ongoing development of the Pledges Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which seeks to match people providing pledged (offers of) accommodation with beneficiaries and provide technical support to both internal and external users. The postholder will collaborate with various business functions within the Migration Department to develop technical solutions that meet the evolving needs of our Programmes and will be responsible for a wide range of duties that include systems configuration, administration and quality assurance testing. Assistant Finance Administrator - Migration Programme

The IRC has worked on migration for several years and is considered a key actor in responding to the humanitarian needs of refugees/ migrants seeking protection and a future in Ireland, with programming in the areas of resettlement and responding to the Ukraine crisis, among others. The primary purpose of this role is to support with the responsible management of finances for the Irish Red Cross Migration Programme. We are looking for a dynamic fundraiser to help deliver high quality fundraising campaigns and supporter care to our growing volume of supporters. As Fundraising Executive, you will work closely with our Retention Manager to help deliver regular giving and cash retention campaigns across a multitude of fundraising channels to engage supporters and maximize lifetime value. Education Officer

The Education Officer delivers environmental education programmes to school and community groups across Ireland, and works closely with the Education team to enhance the quality of the education programme. The candidate should have experience working in the education sector (formal or informal) and will have good knowledge of environmental issues, initiatives around Ireland and the current political environment around Climate Action and sustainability. (10) Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA): EU Researcher

The Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA), a leading independent think-tank based in Dublin, Ireland, is currently seeking a full-time Researcher to contribute to the IIEA’s research and events programmes. Candidates would ideally have a first class honours Masters Degree in EU and International relations, public policy or law and work experience of up to 2-3 years would be desirable. Leaders for Change is an applied programme, aimed at improving specific
managerial and leadership competencies for managers and executives in Irish nonprofit organisations. The course combines academic, evidence-based practices with practitioner-led knowledge and skills. The faculty are drawn from academia and from qualified senior managers/CEOs who work within capacity building and research organisations within the nonprofit sector in Ireland and internationally.
