(1) Call for Tender - Data Consultant for Dóchas Electoral Snapshots
Dóchas requires the support of a data consultant to develop the Dóchas Electoral Snapshots ahead of the next general election. The Dóchas Electorate Snapshots will be a critical advocacy tool for Dóchas and its members when meeting with political stakeholders. The purpose is to collect, analyse, and present data on the level of electorate-by-county support for aid and humanitarian and development NGOs in Ireland. More specifically, the Electorate Snapshots will be used to demonstrate to political and media stakeholders the level of concrete support for Dóchas member, and for aid and development more broadly, by the Irish public. It is envisaged that this piece of work should take approximately 6-8 days over July and August and deliverables are due by the 23rd August 2024. Find out more and apply here. Closing date: 5 July

(1) IFIAD: SEADS Webinar
IFIAD will host a webinar on the "Standards for supporting crop-related livelihoods in emergencies (SEADS)" handbook on 27th June, 2024, 10am to 11am (Irish Time). The aim of SEADS is to have common standards in humanitarian crop interventions from assessments, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Alistair Short is the SEADS Coordinator and is currently supporting the institutionalisation of SEADS to improve the design of crop-based interventions in humanitarian and development programmes. (2) IFIAD: Food systems Webinar
IFIAD Food Systems Group will host a webinar with Anton Urfels from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) on 10th July, 2024, 1pm to 2pm (Irish Time). Anton Urfels works on the interlinkages between sustainable intensification and climate change adaptation. The International Rice Research Institute is a member of the CGIAR System Organization, a global research partnership for a food secure future. Find out more here.

(5) Oxfam Ireland: Senior Policy and Research Coordinator
Oxfam Ireland is looking for policy researchers specialising in climate justice and / or economic inequality to join our growing team of advocates who want to fight inequality at home and abroad. If you are comfortable with policy detail and writing, enjoy collaborating with teams in a busy environment and like to work closely with politicians and civil society then we would like to hear from you. The Senior Policy Officer will actively lead and develop research and robust evidence-based policy analysis, informed by country/regional programme experience, to influence key stakeholders at Irish, northern Irish, EU and global level. (7) Plan International: Business Development Support Officer
Our Business Development team is currently recruiting a support officer to work across the programmes team to assist in the development of quality donor proposals in a timely and effective manner. Reporting to the Business Development Team lead, this role requires experience and understanding of proposal development and knowledge of compliance in relation to institutional donors including the EU – ECHO and INTPA. The Business development support officer will have strong written and communication skills and the ability to work across teams with a range of stakeholders. (14)Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS): Project and Outreach Support Worker (South-East Region)
The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international NGO with a mission to accompany, to serve and to advocate the cause of refugees and forcibly displaced persons. JRS Ireland is now seeking to recruit for the role of Projects and Outreach Support Worker. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), administratively based in the Dublin area, with national travel and service delivery throughout the South-East region required. (1) Concern Worldwide: Consultant to review GCE Grants Scheme
The review's main aim is to assess the current grants scheme and grants to primary education centres who run the Primary Debates regionally on behalf of Concern, and propose changes where required. Concern has recently developed a new strategy for Global Citizenship which encompasses Global Citizenship Education and campaigning for change. This review of the grants scheme and Primary Debate grants is in line with the organisations efforts to deliver the Global Citizenship strategy. The consultant will engage with grant partners (current and those from the past few years) and internal stakeholders using both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection where appropriate. (2) Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF): Digital Marketing Intern
MSF Ireland has achieved significant growth in recent years, with private income increasing year-on-year. MSF is set to build on this success, with a focus on the continuation and scaling up of existing fundraising activities. The Digital Marketing Intern will assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator in the overall maintenance and improvement of best practice regarding the digital marketing channels. (1) Development Perspectives: Introduction to Global Citizenship Education
Are you aged 18-30 and interested in making a positive impact on the world? This engaging 3-day training course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to become an active global citizen. The course will take place on July 2nd, 4th and 12th from 10.30 to 16.30 each day. The courses will be ran in the Development Perspective Training Room in Drogheda. International Justice LLM programme at MU School of Law & Criminology
The International Justice masters programme provides students with vital practical and conceptual insights into issues of human rights, equality and social inclusion under international law. It provides deep, critical engagement with how the international legal order works and how it seeks to protect vulnerable groups: economically marginalised communities, migrants, racialised groups, global south peoples, victims of gendered violence, and people with disabilities. The masters is open to people with legal and non-legal backgrounds alike. It includes a Postgraduate Placement module to work part-time at one of our partner organisations spanning human rights and development NGOs, trade unions, solicitor firms, research institutes, and more. (1) Irish Rule of Law International: Horsehair Wigs Podcast
In the latest episode of the podcast, legal expert, Rhea Kneifati, who specialises in sexual and gender-based investigations talks to us on the show this month. Rhea discusses the significant problem of the disappearance of women in Mexico, where there are currently 27,000 missing women. Rhea was deployed by Justice Rapid Response - an NGO with a roster of experts investigating international crimes and serious human rights violations – to work with a Mexican strategic human rights litigation organisation, Idheas to investigate the disappearance of women in the Mexican state of Guerrero. The state is one of the central points of violence by organised crime and human rights violations in the context of the so-called “war on drugs”. Listen here.

Conference 2024: Call for Abstracts
The Irish Global Health Network is inviting abstracts from individuals, partnerships, and organisations under the overarching theme of the 2024 Conference; Fostering Humanity: Promoting Health Equity for a Better Planet. We particularly encourage submissions from those who have been or are doing work with a focus on themes such as decolonisation, digital health technologies, community-led initiatives and EU facing initiatives. Submissions are welcome from global and local perspectives. Submissions may take the form of research findings, evaluations of programmes and projects, policy lessons from the field, or other forms of systematic learning about global health.
