(1) VSI: VSI Spring In-person Meetup 'Empowering Solidarity' with Comhlámh Justice for Palestine Group - 5 April

Join VSI for our Spring Meetup, where we are collaborating with Comhlamh’s ‘Justice for Palestine’ Group to explore the topic of Palestinian rights. This meetup will be in-person in Dublin city centre on 5th April from 14:00 – 16:00. You can find out more and register to attend here.

(2) UCDVO: UCDVO Film Series - 23 April

Hosted in the UCD Cinema the UCDVO Film Series welcomes the UCD community and guests to engage with five of the very best global justice documentaries from the year. Each screening is accompanied by a speaker and an opportunity for discussion. (2) The Comhlámh End Orphanage Volunteering Working Group: Beyond Good Intentions- Keeping Children Safe in Volunteering & Development - A Cambodian expert perspective on safeguarding in the Global South - 31 March

Join us for an insightful in-person workshop to explore a vital challenge facing the international development sector – ensuring children are protected from harm in development programming. This workshop will offer a unique opportunity to learn from Cambodian expert Im Chetra, the Executive Director of M’lup Russey, a prominent NGO that works on the ground in Cambodia to enhance the lives of children deprived of parental care. (4) IDEA: Exploring Contemporary Issues through Global Citizenship Education: Palestine - 2 April

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is inviting participants to register now for the second session of our 2025 webinar series: "Exploring Contemporary Crises and Issues through Global Citizenship Education: Palestine". This will explore the current war on Gaza but also the long-standing oppression and conflict in Palestine through the lens of peace and justice. What are our responsibilities as educators when we discuss conflict-related violence and displacement? What approaches can we use to do this? (6) Plan International Ireland: Desk Officer - 30 March

Plan International Ireland is seeking a Desk Officer to join their Programmes Department, managing institutional grants and funding for humanitarian, protracted crises, and development projects. This role involves collaborating with Country Offices and technical experts to enhance grant design and management, support business development, and showcase Plan International Ireland's impact. The Desk Officer will oversee grant management, compliance, and financial management for grants from EU ECHO, INTPA, ECW, and UN agencies. Additionally, they will support Country Offices in developing and reviewing Country Strategic Plans, provide ongoing technical and compliance support, and promote innovative and scalable programme approaches. (7) SeeBeyondBorders Ireland: Fundraising and Education Manager - 31 March

SBBI is an award winning development organisation established to build an Irish footprint in support of inclusive education for all Cambodian children. SBBI works in partnership with our colleagues in SeeBeyondBorders Cambodia in their work to bring about positive and sustainable change through evidence-based programmes, in particular by building support and engagement on the island of Ireland for the work on the ground in Cambodia. (9) The Irish Global Health Network: Communications and Events Lead - 4 April

The Irish Global Health Network (IGHN) is an independent network of people from different backgrounds, sectors and disciplines who are concerned with health inequities and issues that impact on the health and development of populations at a global level, with a particular commitment to those living in middle and low- income countries. We are seeking a dynamic Communications and Events Lead to manage our digital presence, communications strategy, and high-profile events, ensuring IGHN continues to engage and inform diverse audiences across Ireland and internationally. (10) The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Education Officer - 15 April

 The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade invites applications for the position of Education Officer to support Irish Aid’s work on global citizenship and development education. The post of Education Officer is open, on a secondment basis, to serving primary, post-primary and further education teachers/trainers as well as adult education officers, youth workers and Youth Reach co-ordinators working in further education colleges and adult and community education settings. The Education Officer will have responsibility for supporting global citizenship education policy including promotion of global citizenship education in the formal and non-formal education sectors. (11) Friends of the Earth: Finance Officer - 13 April

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Compliance, the Finance Officer will deliver crucial financial support for advancing one of our four organisational goals. To ensure Friends of the Earth has the robust governance and effective management systems, and the appropriate financial resources, to maximise our impact and to cultivate a positive working environment.The climate crisis is in the public mind like never before and Friends of the Earth is growing as Ireland and the world step up efforts to cut emissions fast enough to prevent complete climate breakdown. Calls for Tender

(1) Dóchas: Call for Tender- Worldview Market Researchers - 30 March

Dóchas - Worldview is looking for established market researchers to conduct the nationally representative Worldview annual survey. Key components of this tender are ensuring longitudinal fidelity, upholding the established segmentation process to create the widely recognised Worldview segments, and continuing the project's nationally representative annual robust research of around 50 questions, following a revision down from the current 77 questions. (2) Dóchas: Call for Quotations - Worldview Strategic Consultancy - 30 March

Dóchas - Worldview wishes to contract strategic consultant(s) with specific experience and expertise in researching public perceptions of international development and ODA, to advise the Worldview public engagement research project and formulate, analyse, and report on the agile 'Part B' questions of the research. The consultant(s) will work with the project manager and in collaboration with stakeholders to identify, develop, and analyse topics for the dynamic ‘Part B’ of the research, and act as a ‘critical friend’ to the project over the several years. (3) CBM Ireland - Call for Artists: Help Shape a Fairer and Sustainable Future with CBM Ireland - 31 March

CBM Ireland, in collaboration with key project partners, is seeking talented artists or collectives to create highly interactive, participatory, and accessible artworks for the Funding Fairer Futures (FFF) climate and social justice project. (4) IDEA: Call for Tender; Analysis of Data from 2024 - Code of Good Practice for Development Education in Ireland - 23 April

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is seeking a researcher to analyse the data gathered during 2024 as part of the IDEA Code of Good Practice for Development Education (DE) in Ireland. The research will examine what the Code data represents about Development Education practice in Ireland including strengths, gaps, innovation, and how this data can help articulate the impact of DE in Ireland. The research will culminate in a report reflecting insights and observations by the researcher, findings on the impact of the DE sector in Ireland, and potential areas for future strategic development of the Code. (1) Maynooth University:  Post-graduate programmes at MU Department of International Development - 30 June

Join us at the Department of International Development, Maynooth University, on our PG and MA programmes, which start in September 2025 (full- or part-time). These include our PG Cert.in Global Citizenship Education, MA in International Development, and our MA in International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice. Through them, participants will critically engage with important contemporary issues and enhance their understanding, knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others at personal, local and global levels.
