(1) VSI: VSI Spring In-person Meetup 'Empowering Solidarity' with Comhlámh Justice for Palestine Group - 5 April
Join VSI for our Spring Meetup, where we are collaborating with Comhlamh’s ‘Justice for Palestine’ Group to explore the topic of Palestinian rights. This meetup will be in-person in Dublin city centre on 5th April from 14:00 – 16:00. You can find out more and register to attend here.
(2) STAND: STAND Changemakers Academy Ceremony - 21 March
The Changemakers Academy is STAND’S most extensive and in-depth programme, designed for university students passionate about global issues and social justice activism. This year, 25 participants from 18 countries have thrown themselves into the creation of this global community of advocates, activists and changemakers through STAND's Academy. At the ceremony, the audience will hear about their stories and creative solutions that have emerged in response to challenges relating to the environment, political participation, mental health and inclusion. Join us for an insightful in-person workshop to explore a vital challenge facing the international development sector – ensuring children are protected from harm in development programming. This workshop will offer a unique opportunity to learn from Cambodian expert Im Chetra, the Executive Director of M’lup Russey, a prominent NGO that works on the ground in Cambodia to enhance the lives of children deprived of parental care. (7) Media and Communications Manager - 20 March
This is a key role within a small team, where you will be responsible for press office, media relations, and driving integrated communications campaigns across media and other channels to engage target audiences. (8) Facilitator for Community Based Health in Justice Prison to Community project - 24 March
The IRC is now seeking to recruit a facilitator to work alongside the current staff and volunteers and provide support, leadership and mentorship. (10) Plan International Ireland: Desk Officer - 30 March
Plan International Ireland is seeking a Desk Officer to join their Programmes Department, managing institutional grants and funding for humanitarian, protracted crises, and development projects. This role involves collaborating with Country Offices and technical experts to enhance grant design and management, support business development, and showcase Plan International Ireland's impact. The Desk Officer will oversee grant management, compliance, and financial management for grants from EU ECHO, INTPA, ECW, and UN agencies. Additionally, they will support Country Offices in developing and reviewing Country Strategic Plans, provide ongoing technical and compliance support, and promote innovative and scalable programme approaches. (11) Supporter Care Administrator - 24 March
Plan International Ireland seeks a highly motivated, organized Supporter Care Administrator to join their fundraising team. The role involves nurturing relationships with supporters via telephone, email, post, and in-person, handling incoming communications, processing donations, and ensuring GDPR-compliant data accuracy. Additionally, the administrator will manage day-to-day office tasks, support the Individual Giving Officer, and engage the public to support Plan International Ireland’s mission to protect children's rights and promote gender equality. (1) Dóchas: Call for Tender- Worldview Market Researchers - 30 March
Dóchas - Worldview is looking for established market researchers to conduct the nationally representative Worldview annual survey. Key components of this tender are ensuring longitudinal fidelity, upholding the established segmentation process to create the widely recognised Worldview segments, and continuing the project's nationally representative annual robust research of around 50 questions, following a revision down from the current 77 questions. (2) Dóchas: Call for Quotations - Worldview Strategic Consultancy - 30 March
Dóchas - Worldview wishes to contract strategic consultant(s) with specific experience and expertise in researching public perceptions of international development and ODA, to advise the Worldview public engagement research project and formulate, analyse, and report on the agile 'Part B' questions of the research. The consultant(s) will work with the project manager and in collaboration with stakeholders to identify, develop, and analyse topics for the dynamic ‘Part B’ of the research, and act as a ‘critical friend’ to the project over the several years. (2) EAPPI: Now recruiting human rights monitors for 2026 - 23 March
Our human rights monitors are called Ecumenical Accompaniers, or EAs. EAs spend three months in Palestine and Israel witnessing and monitoring human rights violations and standing in solidarity with local peace activists. When they come home, they give talks in their local communities and advocate for an end to the military occupation of Palestine. EAs need to be adaptable, physically and emotionally robust, open to hearing different perspectives and able to represent EAPPI in a professional manner. Find out more here.
Courses and Training
(1) GOAL: NextGen Youth Programme - 1 April
GOAL’s NextGen Youth Programme brings together young people from all over the world to better understand global justice issues and deepen their understanding of Global Citizenship. This programme will guide young, motivated changemakers to learn all about the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in relation climate and health systems, and how we can strive to create a fairer and more sustainable future for all. Participants will collaborate in creating awareness-raising materials to help share their learnings and hopes for our connected world. The programme is a 10-week engagement with young people in Ireland and select GOAL programme countries focused on creating the learning and empowerment opportunities necessary for positive youth-led change. (1) Charities Regulator: Charities Regulator Stakeholder Forum now open for nominations - 25 March
The Charities Regulator’s stakeholder forum was created in 2023 as a direct channel of communication with charity trustees to ensure the views and feedback of volunteers from across the sector, who are responsible for overseeing the operations of charities, are considered when the Charities Regulator is developing policies, guidance and regulatory materials. While the forum operated on a pilot basis from 2023 to 2024, the Charities Regulator sees it as a long-term initiative.
