(1) The Wheel: Leadership Academy Breakfast Club – 5 February

The next Leadership Academy Breakfast Club is on Thursday 5 February 2026 at 10am online, and we will be discussing Leadership and the Next Generation. The next generation of leaders are the first digitally native generation, meaning they can connect on a global level in a way unheard of before and they are also more driven by social causes like mental health, the environment and social justice. We are thrilled Leon Diop (founder of Black and Irish) and Sorcha Killian (co-founder of Hygiene Hub) have some time to join us and learn about their experiences as new leaders in the sector. CBM Ireland is seeking a dynamic Donor Acquisition Officer to drive growth in our supporter base. This role will support with development and execution of multi-channel acquisition strategies, identify and segment prospective donors, and create compelling campaigns that inspire giving. You will support the Fundraising Manager in managing end-to-end acquisition campaigns, analyse performance to optimize results, and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with organisational goals. (7) Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation: Corporate Development Manager (part-time) – 19 January

The Corporate Development Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for the management and operational responsibility of Governance and Compliance, Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management and Procurement. S/he will work closely with the CEO and the Senior Management Team, in addition to supporting board members, staff and consultants. S/he will report to the CEO and will act as a central co-ordinator of Glencree’s support requirements, which are delivered by the administrative staff. (8) Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation: Financial Controller (part-time) – 19 January

The Financial Controller is a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for ensuring the strong financial stewardship of the company’s resources by overseeing financial planning, reporting, compliance, budgeting, donor fiscal management, and internal controls. This is a hands-on role given the size of the organisation, which supports strategic decision-making and guarantees that all financial activities align with regulatory requirements, donor agreements, and organisational policies. Habitat for Humanity Ireland is recruiting a Store Manager for Habitat ReStore Lisnagelvin. (11) Irish Family Planning Institute: Policy Officer 

The IFPA is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our advocacy and communications team and work for policy and legal reform in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), both in the Irish and the overseas development contexts. Plan International Ireland is currently looking for new members to join the Youth Advisory Panel for activities in 2026 and beyond! Plan International Ireland works with and not just for young people. We recognise that young people are a vital and largely untapped resource that is often missing from global justice work. Our Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) engages young people aged 16-24 as ambassadors and advisors to Plan International Ireland. (1) STAND: Registrations are now open for the STAND Global Issues Courses at University College Cork and University of Galway – 18 February

The STAND Global Issues Courses return this spring at University College Cork (18 Feb – 25 Mar) and the University of Galway (23 Feb – 30 Mar). These six-week certified courses are designed for third-level students and recent graduates who want to start learning about social justice and sustainability. Through a series of six interactive evening workshops led by expert facilitators, participants will explore urgent topics including economics, climate justice, colonialism, SDGs, and how we can imagine fairer futures together. Students will earn a recognised certificate to add to their CV and LinkedIn profile, while becoming part of an engaged community of changemakers on campus. Find out more here.

CBM Ireland’s Funding Fairer Futures – a EU and Irish Aid co-funded project is offering small grants to organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) to take climate action in eligible Global South countries. (2) Christian Aid Ireland: Navigating Power: Civil Society Advice on Influencing Change

Navigating Power is a collection of advice from civil society on how to go about influencing change. Based on their lived experience working in fragile and restrictive contexts, it gathers strategies that are astute, responsive to shifting dynamics, and proven to help organisations remain effective under pressure. It distils and shares lessons from across contexts – from the grassroots to the global stage – demonstrating how organisations can analyse power, identify opportunities, mitigate risks and build alliances. (3) The Centre for Global Education: Policy and Practice Issue 43 Call for Contributors – 6 March

The Centre for Global Education is inviting contributions to Issue 43 of our bi-annual, peer reviewed, open access journal Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review on the theme “Development Education: Learning for Transformation”. Authors interested in submitting to Issue 43 should send a 300-word abstract to the editor by Friday, 6 March 2026. The Call for Contributors is available here.
