Dóchas Communications Officer

Position: Communications Officer (Full-time, 5 days a week)

Appointed by: CEO

Reports to: CEO

Duration: November/December 2015 – 31 December 2016 (with possibility of extension)

Salary: commensurate with the Dóchas Communications Officer scale (€28,274 – €36,193).

The Communications Officer is in charge of reinforcing the network by creating synergies among Dóchas members and by enhancing Dóchas’ relationships with key stakeholders. The role involves developing close relations with all Dóchas members, in order to obtain a clear knowledge and understanding of each member organisation’s needs and expectations of the network. The Communications Officer will also be responsible for the implementation of Dóchas’ Communications Strategy, aimed at enhancing Dóchas’ relationships with all stakeholders.

The role is focused on four key elements of Dóchas work: the website; Dóchas Wednesday News; the Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages; and public communications.
